Age Requirements
The age requirements are different for each position. For most posts in BS-11 to BS-15, the general age limit for male candidates is 18 to 25 years, but they get a 5-year relaxation, making it 30 years. Female candidates get an 8-year relaxation, so their limit becomes 33 years.
Let me give you two real-life examples to make it easy for you.
Example 1:
Ali is a 29-year-old male who has completed his Intermediate. He wants to apply for the Junior Clerk position in Kot Addu. The upper age limit for male candidates for this post is 25 years, but with the 5-year relaxation, it becomes 30 years. So, Ali is well within the age limit and can apply for the PPSC jobs 2026.
Example 2:
Sana is a 32-year-old female with a Master’s degree in Mass Communication. She wants to apply for the Public Relation Officer position in the Emergency Services Department. The upper age limit for female candidates is generally 32 years for BS-17 positions. So, Sana is also eligible to apply.
Quota/Domicile Distribution
Domicile and quota distribution is an important part of these PPSC jobs. Most positions are open to candidates with a Punjab domicile. However, some positions are restricted to specific districts. For example, many Junior Clerk and Stenographer posts in Kot Addu are only for candidates who have a domicile of the Kot Addu district.
There are also specific quotas for different groups. For example, a certain number of posts are reserved for women, minorities, and special persons.
Let me explain with an example. For the Junior Clerk position in Bahawalpur, 03 posts are reserved for open merit, 02 for women, and 03 for the children of employees of the Board of Revenue. This means if you fall into one of these categories, your chances of selection are higher because you are competing in a smaller pool of candidates.
Another example is the Senior Registrar Pediatric Cardiac Surgery posts, which are purely on open merit. So, if you are highly qualified, you have a great chance.
Documents Required
Before you start your application, make sure you have all these documents ready. It will save you a lot of hassle later on.
- All your educational certificates and detailed mark sheets from Matric to your highest degree.
- Your valid Punjab domicile certificate.
- Your Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC).
- Experience certificates, if you are applying for a post that requires experience.
- For medical or engineering posts, valid registration certificates from PMC or PEC.
- Recent passport-sized photographs.
